Custom Settlers of Catan Hexes

I made this custom Hexes for Settlers of Catan game.  For those who don't know, Settlers of Catan is an amazing strategy game developed by Klaus Teuber.  See http://www.catan.com for more info on this game.

Here are some pictures of the Hexes.  I also made some smaller sized 'number' tokens so that the design on the hexes get more space.  One of the primary requirement of the customer was that the hexes must take some rough handling and must be stackable.  So I had to limit the design to 2D.  Yes, I would have loved to do some 3D quilled design here.  But I understand,  "rough handling" is a must requirement for game cards.  Another requirement was that it must be usable with the existing game tiles.  So, the size must match perfectly.

The cards are cut by hand and then painted in Acrylic.  And then the quilled design.  If you notice in the tiles in the first picture, each tile is unique!  Even for the  same type!!

I loved working on this.  I hope I get to do more such projects.

A fridge magnet note pad.

I collected blank pages from old notebooks that I was sending for recycling.  Cut them into equal size and fixed it to a cardboard.  Added some nice decoration in front and a magnet at the back.  And voila!!  You have a nice little recycled notebook on your fridge!

Small photo frames

The frame size is 5x7 inches and the photo size is 3x5 inches.  Ideal to keep on office table, work table and gifting.

I have come with newer designs for gift envelops and bookmarks.  These were available at Sunday Soul Sante and were a hit.

Embroidered hair clips

Some of the hair clips with embroidered designs.  I have added kundan and moti on it.  It was nice to see that  people wearing the hair clips and quilled earrings immediately after buying it.

Quilled butterflies.  I have made fridge magnets and embellishment for gift boxes with these.  Well, all these designs are based on the Monarch butterfly.  I plan to come up with more on other species as well.
